Six Simple Tips For Deciphering IIT JEE

The key to cracking the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination is hard work and hard work alone. There is really no substitute for it. But studying from the wrong book for IIT JEE or any other examination for that matter can be absolutely disastrous and put to waste invaluable time, money, resource and labour. Wrong guidance can be equally dangerous and make you head towards the wrong direction. Furthermore, it can make you fail on so many counts and get results you were not waiting for.

The following is a set of tips that may come in handy for the examinee and help decipher IIT JEE.

  • Starting early- Cramming in at the last moment can be the worst possible thing. Not only will it torture you but also leave you unsettled even after the examination is over. So start when there is still time.
  • Getting your concepts right- Mugging like a parrot, cramming in forcefully will not actually help in any which way. First and foremost, you will have to get your facts and concepts right. That will enhance concept building, help you enjoy what you study and also prevent you from going back to/ forgetting old chapters again.
  • Taking the path of perseverance and being consistent- Just like the horse that runs with blinders so that he does not get distracted, you have to diligently work towards your goal and let nothing come between the two of you. Your performance has to achieve consistency in order for you to be successful.
  • Working on your speed- Another thing that plays an integral role is speed. JEE papers are all application based. This is followed by lengthy and twisted papers. So you need to back yourself up with speed that will see you through.
  • Being accurate- IIT JEE papers have negative marking. In order to get the maximum marks, you need to be accurate and make the least number of mistakes.
  • Practicing- And it all comes down to this. You have just the right books for IIT JEE preparation, the right tutor, ample time and the perfect ambience, and have the virtue of perseverance. But if you do not let go of the world around you, collect your mind and focus, and sit for practice with utmost attention, the rest is futile. Your mind will wander just like you and you will not be able to come close of what you desire.
An early start, well drilled concepts, perseverance, speed and practice and of course a set of good IIT-JEE books for preparation.
